To retard the timing, the distributor is turned clockwise. When you advance the timing, you are making the spark fire before TDC. Webb13 mars 2024 · Simple fix, I’ve attached a firing order diagram that I followed for Mopar 273, 318, 340 and 360 small blocks. She fired up, advance vacuum is now working and no longer shuts down. Has a little harder time starting but I believe that’s a timing issue. Side note….this thing is a lot bigger than stock or even some aftermarket distributors.
